I did some research on the ending of this game for my own benefit and thought everyone who reads this will also benefit! We know that Girl gives birth to the sheep creature, however that's a consequence of the ritual. When the sheep finally swallows the Girl, she's forced to relive memories. Specifically the memory of how her friends and her brother (The boy Grizzy plays as) lure her into the shed we see, killed her bunny (Hence the bunny mask, perhaps a coping mechanism or she just loves bunnies), they then bound her and sacrificed her. There are theories that the sacrifice was made to solve a drought or, more likely, the war we see happening in the game. HOWEVER, we don't know if the war was a result of the sacrifice or was a past memory. There is a secret ending to this game, one where you see multiple kids with similar relations to the Girl coming from the walls of the well after she was thrown down and it starts to fill with water.
I don't know how accurate any of this is, so don't take my word for it, but the minimal research I did showed up with very similar findings :]
I loved watching you guys play this, but I hate the story. It can't even give you a clear explanation by the end of the game; I mean, hell, y’all didn't even know what was going on without chat telling you a little about it. I hate these types of games that rely on theories and interpretations instead of an actual, fleshed-out story. If I still can’t really understand the 'what,' 'how,' and 'why' by the end of the game, it’s a shit story to me.
