As a Rust builder, I used to be SO HYPED to find a garage door or shotgun trap or anything cool in a box. Now? Just tech tree. Honestly, the tech tree ruined a lot of rust. No more playing the game for hours JUST to find a garage door. Just farm the road for 30 minutes and buy 99 things on the tech tree. Tax? Could care less, the tree itself ruined it for me.
I know how to fix rust. Bring back how Xbox started. Remove the tech tree all together and make it where you gambled what you spend scrap on per work bench. Xbox was d active when it came out even if it was terrible

people are leaving rust because they see no other players that got bored so whats their issue to start playing again and then others will see theres more players and they will start having fun again

i miss old rust. i honestly wanna go back to before the recoil update. i loved this game, knew every gun sound off the top of my head, and still kept coming back. now just like that other comment said, i literally only watch Wiljum and Bloo.

I agree with the rest of you. I love your content bloo I have been a fan for years it’s just starting to feel unoriginal and repetitive not that it’s your fault at all it’s just the way rust is now. It’s either monument grind and kill people have a raid get raided and Thats it or it’s deep sea grind and then get off I just wish it could still have that OG bloo feel in every video. The drop in prices of study items and the tech tree has made it almost immediate to go from the primitive phase to the modern one.
Which takes away all that initial survival component that is so attractive about the game.
That's why, like you,… who manage servers, you can manage those variants so that the game returns to those roots where going with a revolver to the base to be able to study it was exciting.
On my server the tech tree is blocked, so you can only study what you find by lotting.
The price is the one before the update, and the plugin I have also gives the option to configure, in percentages, the probability that studying the object will be successful, and also whether it breaks when studying it, or if the scrap consumes you.
So for example, an mp5 has 60% of learning it, 100% of consuming the scrap, 40% of destroying the object if it doesn't learn it.
Like the deep see, one can configure how often it can appear,… I mean, if you consider it very op, well, configure it so that it appears within 4 hours or the time you think is convenient, if the npcs seem very easy to you for the loot they give, with a plugin you increase their precision, so that only with weapons you can beat them.
And so one goes about doing what seems most pleasant to the game and truly how it should be. According to each one, of course.
Honestly, I think the major problem is the playstyle of people. When was the last video, that covered a full week wipe cycle or – god forbid – even two weeks? The stories that evolve – the enemies… getting raided and coming back etc. Nowerdays, every streamer and Youtuber just plays 1 or 2 days and that's it. It has always been like that – groups have everything after 2 days or even first day. It's the playstyle of people that changed.
