Tuned into the stream while working on my thesis, and it was so enjoyable it took me off track a bit! Super entertaining games and most of them were really close too! I think my only criticism was that I would have preferred if the first 3 matches decided the seeding, with the 1 seed playing the 4 seed and the 2 playing the 3. I 100% understand why it couldn't work that way, but it would mean that every match would have something to play for.
This event was amazing. It reminded me of the old Homestory cups and the CS Summit events. Very enjoyable. Great job from the casters.
If I could improve on something for the next Minor (which I hope will happen). It's to have more of a revolving door in the casting area. So for every game, you could have 1-2 players from others teams, joining in during the chill casting. Maybe n0thing joins in, tells an old anecdote. Maybe some other content creator joins in and tells a story about their history with CS. Maybe they ask the casters some CS-related questions, about the scene or what not. Slimy did a good job doing some of this, but I think it would have been nice to have seen more of the personalities of some of the other players of this tournament!
Whether it is CS or another game, LANs like this are fun to watch. I'm not sure if it's just the nostalgia of LAN gaming or the combination of said nostalgia with the production quality (which was great), but there was a magic captured by this that feels missing in other content events. Great stream, hosts, and commentators!
