To me it was less about ignorance & more about the entitlement of the rainbow warriors…….because “inclusion”, you know the less than 5% of the population…….hows that working for the budget
I really tried to like this game, played for 30 hours but I just didn't like it at all. Not sure why, I usually really like pirate stuff. I just decided to go back to Crimson Desert, I think this game ruined other games for me.
The "social agenda" is 100% a CULT! Don't believe me? What else, other than a serious religious ideological position would cause greedy humans to set aside MONEY?
Kills me that as "Skull & Bones" went belly up, they decided to re-release Black Flag with some updated graphics, so that everyone can buy it again to try to make up for the failure of the other.. hehehehehe 😉
But even if there IS a million guides for a game on YouTube, there is nothing forcing you to watch them before you play it and learn the ropes yourself, if you so choose… 😉

I love building. I want creativity.
I’ve played The Forest, Sons of the Forest, Green Hell, 7 Days to Die, Once Human (not an all inclusive list) for their base building aspects. Once Human is the best in that regard, but I don’t like the gameplay. I only do as much as I need to to level up to obtain access to different building materials, etc.
I largely enjoy the gameplay in here and I can build anywhere.
There are quality of life aspects to this that I think can improve on, but overall it’s much better in gameplay and responsiveness than other games.
The success of Windrose shows how irrelevant legacy media is. Players will find out about good games and decide what is worth their money. And the dev team can use the money they would otherwise waste on marketing somewhere more useful.
gota disagree this game could only benifit from a pvp option for us to put in our private server i mean its a pirate game its should have pvp pirates where pvp i just dont get the crusade against pvp when pvp is implemented right and not forced it adds so much longevity and unscripted random content id like to see a vrising style pvp where you can time it for a few hours a day control weather bases can be raided and all that good conrol for the server owner to have pvp in how the server players want it that being said i am still enjoying the game with out i justg think it would be a + to have the option
The main problem is big corp chase money and trends, where's small studios have passion for their projects, when you chase your passions the money flow is inevitable because you are doing something you love and believe in, so it's bound to be succesful!

i put 98 hours into the game since it came out, and i just now got to the end of whats available. im satisfied with the launch but boy am i THIRSTY for more
Wished Skull and Bones just integrated For Honors combat system and then just focused on land exploration. I really enjoy the combat on the sea, but everything else is lacking.
Started playing this with the boys over the weekend. We have like 12 peope on our server. Great game, enjoying it a lot even though its got some ways to come
You can play this game solo, with friends and yes even with your wife and have fun. One night i logged in late (8pm) and figured I would put in couple of hours…WTF I looked at the clock and it was 3am! Yes its one of those games….and YES I too was handed my ass by a level 2 boar! 😅
The triple AAA industry can't make good games anymore because of one main issue: feminization. Games by and large are a medium by men, for men. Look at old developers like ID, just a bunch of high test nerds who listen to Heavy Metal, played D&D and love violence. Devs and companies have been getting sued left and right for not being inclusive and because it is too much of a "boys club". There was even a ((())) journalist that complained about a new dev studio having too much WHTE MEN. If you are semi successful they will come for you.

This game snuck up on me. Been bored trying to find a game to play and nothing has quenched the thirst until i tried Windrose.
Its been fun.

Black Flag remake will still sell 5m+ copies regardless of how bad Ubisoft have damaged their reputation with Shadows and Skull and Bones

I played the demo of Windrose, it is an awesome game! Asmon played the demo and I immediately got the demo and played it myself.
I used to work for Microprose, bought by Hasbro then Infrogrammes. Killed off the indie developer eventually. Old school indie titles and memorable

Haven't played pc games in years. Purchased windrose the other day and am thoroughly enjoying it. Shame my fingers don't remember a keyboard

Early access sucks, you buy and play a half game, and whenever/if it ever gets released, you already played it
