Joshua Zirkzee: European giant in daily dialogue over deal – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee continues to face an uncertain future at Old Trafford.

Lack of game time

The arrival of Benjamin Sesko has significantly reduced the number of matches that Zirkzee started at the beginning of the season.

Nonetheless, the Slovenian’s injury picked up against Tottenham Hotspur has meant that the Dutchman has become more involved in the team once again.

Zirkzee has started three consecutive games since the international break and even opened his account for the season in a victory over Crystal Palace.

Nonetheless, he was back on the bench for Manchester United’s 4-1 win away to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday.

Transfer news

The lack of minutes has seen constant rumours swirl over the future of the striker.

He has been frequently linked with a return to Italy, and AS Roma are said to be very keen on his services.

According to Italian media, United are open to letting the forward leave but not on loan, as they want cash upfront.

What’s more, it has been recently reported that two more Italian giants, AC Milan and Juventus, have entered the race for the player.

Daily contact

Sky Sport Italia (via Football Italia) claim that “Roma need a plug-in player. Zirkzee knows Italian football well, and he’d be ready to go on the field. He won’t need to understand Italian football, so all the attention is on him.”

Elaborating further on a potential deal, the outlet states, “negotiations are ongoing, there’s a daily dialogue between Roma and Manchester United, and it’s the only negotiation really underway. As usual, it’s about the money.”

Sky Sport finish by stating that there is not exactly optimism a deal can be struck as both parties want different things but “there’s attention from Manchester United.”
