  2. we guitarist call it getting it down in the dirt

  3. Good video. But what did you mean by the term “hard bop” at 5:20? My understanding of hard bop was a movement bringing more dance friendly rhythms and bluesy sounds into bebop.

  4. great lesson, you are helping a lot of people

  5. Blues is the Sauce! Its raw emotion no head shit just ass. Combine the head with the ass and your correct its Magic!!

  6. You've reinvigorated my desire to play. Took piano lessons for years dispite still not being able to read music. The only teachers in my area basically just taught sheet music. I never really learned scales or chords. I'm really excited to pick it up again and look forward to learning a lot from you. Thank you ❤

  7. "You gotta know.. how to play the blues . " and ARCH that eyebrow … 🥰

  8. Nice.. the rhythm changes don't seem so challenging with the blues over the top.. its all just the blues i guess like Miles said.

  9. You sound so good, thank you

  10. Great video. You inspired some bluesy ideas. Thank you so much.

  11. Very nice playing Amie! Are you using the major blue scales and mixing in the minor?

  12. Was waiting for the C, b3 ascending chromatically to the 5… boo ba da be di bop bwee dooiii (end with b3-3 glis to 1)

  13. Wow! Everybody struggles with hitting as many chord tones as possible while stumbeling through those rapid rythm changes – and you just melt it down do good ole blues and sound so much cooler! Btw. You sure got an AMAZING groove in your fingers!

  14. this amazing, tutorial of walking bass line?

  15. Another excellent video from Aimee. So informative and demonstrated in a clear, concise " no nonsense" manner. Terrific.

  16. Starting right now! I play classical and blues. This is the next step. I will see how long it takes me to crack it. Wish me luck

  17. You and this lesson are amazing!

  18. How would Eric Clapton play through a cycle of 4ths/Bridge??? – With extreme difficulty…

  19. This question will exploit my ignorance, but are blues lines considered bebop? I'm not sure I know what bebop actually is, definition wise. When I think bebop I think lines like on Donna Lee or I've Got Rythm. So, at the risk of looking stupid Aimee, could you define bebop for me? I come from a country/gospel background so this explains my limited knowledge somewhat. 😜

    Thank you

  20. WWBBKD

  26. You are so hip Aimee! Thank you~ 😀

  27. Hi Aimee, love this video series. Can you explain a bit on how G is part of the E flat and B flat blues scale?

  28. the first melody i ever memorized for rythm changes is the theme for the great old cartoon show the flintstones. The whole theme is based on rythm changes. Its not the blues, but if you grew up on flintstones it should be easy and fun .Yaba DabaDoo!

  29. Beautiful, Aimee – from beautiful Aimee!!

  30. amazing musician you are. love your videos. thank you.

  31. Really great stuff for guitar players . Particularly appreciated the full musical notation you did on the other Rhythm Changes video. It’s a big help for those of us who don’t quite have your pitch. Thanks

  32. hey, extra cool videos. i was wondering if you could do a video on how you are able to play on piano exactly what youre hearing youre in your head? ive been able to transcribe certain melodies and sing them prior playing ect, but it takes a few tries before i get it right. thank you so much!

  33. I'm new here, cool introduction… It may not be a part of the lesson but it's also a great example of the use of space. Very nice, thank you.

  34. Wonderful lesson thank you Aimee.  Do have the full notation for the bass line you use. I nearly worked it out LOL

  35. Hi Aimee, was wondering in regard to jazz parlance, when the b5 went out of fashion and why? I'm seeing and hearing #4 as part of the terminology now, and I'm curious as to the thinking behind it? 🙂

could test this? IE still is the marketplace leader
and a huge portion of folks will leave out your magnificent writing
    because of this problem. http://Yaltavesti.com/go/?url=http://Dgaisite.com/comment/html/?108943.html
