  2. Björk is a top 10 artist of all time

  3. I can’t get past The Sugarcubes, peak 80s musical awakening.

  4. Brown Kevin Jones Daniel Perez Linda

  5. Bjork is biggest ever, what that girl did for herself and music in general, from Iceland to England is just amazing

  6. Still relevant and enjoyable…September 2024 I still listen to DEBUT often and I have a large back catalog of Sugarcubes etc.. I loved when she wore the Swan dress to the Academy Awards. Anti-Fashion, Bitches!

  7. A true artist,Joni Mitchell and Kate Bush being her predecessors. A rare breed. X

  8. THANK YOU FOR PRONOUNCING HER NAME CORRECTLY. Finally, someone does’nt just say Beeyork. That’s all I have to say.

  9. Allen Ronald Taylor Donna Clark Anthony

  10. Lewis Margaret Gonzalez Brian Taylor Gary

  11. I’m an early Björk fan — thanks for doing the video it brought back so many fond memories!

  12. Lopez Michael Hall Anthony Taylor Thomas

  13. Some of the copycats sounds like they did not get the message of hers. Got the wrong end of a stick. I'm not a fan but she is undeniable.

  15. Was that Slowthai at approximately 17 minutes or am I just slow?

  16. THANK YOU for being one of the few sites with a strobe warning! As a Björk fan it would have hit it head on liked subscribed and all that 👍✌️

  17. Björk wrote a song as a present to her friend Nellie Hooper who passed the song onto Madonna and would end up becoming “Bedtime Story”. It’s no disrespect to Madonna but she wanted people to know that the song was for her friend. MTV News even ran part of a Björk interview with her saying this during Madonna’s Bedtime Story Pajama Party where Kurt Loder would world premiere the $5,000,000 music video.

  18. Remember that in some interview, Björk said she might be the least weird out of her family. Not that being weird's a bad thing. It isn't

  19. Bjork is a Gen X icon. Among the first and most original icons of her generation.

  20. Johnson Joseph Miller Joseph Lopez Margaret

  21. I first came across Bjork in1989 with The Sugarcubes. Eat the menu was a particular favourite.

  22. It takes a lot of talent to put soul into electronic music, some artist can't pull it off.Ask Christina A.

  23. Which era? All of her.. I love her whole army of her..

  24. She was my first love
You have to anthology Orbital !!!!!!

  25. Brasil mentionated !!🔥😜🎆

  26. Guy cannot keep his finger off the button to show a clip of an artist whenever mentioning their name. You don’t have do that for artists like Joni Mitchell. We know. Just move on

  27. Good electronica taste progression:

First the prodigy (your friend probably played breathe or firestarter one night)
Then aphex twin (you found "come to daddy" in a messed up music videos compilation)
And then bjork (you found out about bjork normally because her music is that good)

  28. Bjork has no peers. While Radiohead was doing stuff like Iron Lung she was years ahead with Post. It’s insane.

  29. i think Volta is her best – though a few others are in close contention.

  30. An interesting factor that people usually don't take into account when analyzing Björk and some other Icelandic singers is that Icelandic as a language is full of glottal stops and pre aspirated consonants … Also, the accented syllable is always the first one in any word. A lot Björk's specific styling are very influenced by her mother tongue.

  31. Dearest Björk,

you are one of the people I look up to the most and I would be thrilled thinking that you may read this email to you from me. I've been listening to you since the nineties and since then you're always looking for a new sound; you're the hunter: you're going hunting of music 'cause it is not a product but a process and each lyrics that you write are a collection of emotional peaks, like a storytelling of your (and my) life.

I think also that you are ART in everything you do because you have been translating from music to what can be represented in images across your stage costumes or your videography and dj set; so I guess that you've been commissioned ("ordained") by music to convey emotions to human race.

I say it as a hopefully meaningful compliment, which I hope you accept.

    Gratitudes back to you, Björk.

    warmth and endless respect.

  33. Satin dresses and Fluke remixes. Now that’s culture.

  34. Bjork . Wunderlist ,the meaning of life. Genius.

  35. Como se llama el documental?

  36. Rocketed to fame after a Melody Maker single of the week? Dude.

  37. Bjork makes Midsommar cult ceremonial chants, it’s not music.

  38. the sugarcubes would dissolve….
