I think Dead President 2 is the BEST song Jay Z ever made . The first time i listened to it , a wave of different emotions came through me . From Fear to Comfort , from sadness to happyness . And the instrumental is GORGEOUS . It's a master piece . I usually dont listen to Jay Z , but this song made me love him . This song is the reason i watched the video !
#1 should have been Jay-Z featuring Beyonce 03 Bonnie & Clyde or it should have made the list. So disappointed that (DOA) Death of the Auto-Tune, Show Me What You Got or Song Cry wasn't on the list as well.
I’ve tried to listen to some songs of his a couple of times to try to understand people and how they fw him. But just no. Dude simply speaks on the track, barely has rhymes in his lyrics (big complement of rap), his songs are mostly chorus (which again don’t rhyme), makes multiple sounds and ‘rhymes’ with those, etc. Dude is booty. Convinced he only really, if not a main reason, got the fame he’s gotten for hanging around the right people on his come up. NAS better FS. One of the biggest injustices in rap’s history imo.
