Shilpkar Law College is a recognized institution, located in Pune, offering quality legal education under the affiliation of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). It is duly approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra. Shilpkar Law College is an emerging centre of legal education committed to nurturing informed, ethical, and socially responsible legal professionals. Aims & Objectives
The primary aim of this edited volume is to critically explore the complex intersection of technology, artificial intelligence and law, with a particular focus on how rapidly evolving digital systems are reshaping established legal principles, regulatory frameworks and human rights protections.
The primary objectives of the Book are:
- To provide a comprehensive scholarly exploration of the legal, ethical and policy challenges emerging from rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and digital technologies.
- To critically examine the interface between technology and fundamental rights, including privacy, equality, dignity and democratic participation.
- To analyze the evolving regulatory landscape governing AI, data protection, cyber security, digital markets and automated decision-making systems.
- To foster comparative perspectives by studying global best practices, international standards and cross-jurisdictional approaches to technology governance.
- To assess the accountability mechanisms, transparency requirements and due process safeguards essential in algorithmic and automated environments.
- To encourage interdisciplinary dialogue, bringing together legal scholarship with insights from technology, philosophy, governance, and human rights frameworks.

Word Limit Guidelines
- Research Articles: 4,000 – 8,000 words
- Short Articles / Notes: 2,000 – 4,000 words
- Case Comments: 1,500 – 3,000 words
- Legislative Reviews: 1,500 – 3,000 words
- Book Reviews: 1,000 – 2,000 words
Eligibility
The Book welcomes submissions from:
- Academicians and legal scholars
- Judges, advocates, and legal practitioners
- Research scholars and postgraduate students
- Undergraduate law students (subject to quality review)
- Policy professionals and experts in governance and public law
Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Collaborative and interdisciplinary works are also encouraged.
Formatting & Citation Rules
- Submissions must be typed in Times New Roman, font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing and justified alignment
- Footnotes should be in Times New Roman, font size 10, with single line spacing
- Margins: 1 inch on all sides
- File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) only
- Headings and sub-headings should be clearly numbered (e.g., 1, 1.1, 1.1.1)
- The Book follows the Bluebook 21st Edition citation format for all authorities and references.
- All citations must be provided only in footnotes, not endnotes.
- The permitted plagiarism limit is up to 10%
Publication Details
- The book will be published with an ISBN.
- A hardbound/print edition along with e-copy availability is planned.
- Contributors will receive an E-certificate and one chapter-wise acknowledgement in the volume
Deadline submission
- Last Date for Abstract Submission: 5th December 2025
- Notification of Acceptance of Abstracts: Within 2 weeks of submission
- Last Date for Full Paper Submission: 25th December 2025
- Publication of Issue with ISBN: March 2026 (Proposed)
