
About IJAL
Indian Journal of Arbitration Law (IJAL) is issuing a call for papers for Volume 14, Issue 1. As a bi-annual, open-access journal published by the Centre for Advanced Research and Training in Arbitration Law at NLU Jodhpur, IJAL is proudly indexed in renowned databases such as Kluwer Arbitration, HeinOnline, Westlaw, and SCC Online. We invite submissions that delve into emerging topics and ongoing debates within arbitration law.
Topics
The following is an indicative list highlighting the scope of the journal:
- International Commercial Arbitration;
- Institutional Arbitration;
- Multilateral Arbitration Conventions;
- Inter-State Disputes subject to Arbitration;
- Investor-State Dispute Settlement Mechanism;
- Investment Treaty Arbitration;
- Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms;
- Jurisdiction-specific issues in Arbitration; and
- UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration.
Categories
IJAL seeks submissions under the following categories:
- Articles – 6,000 to 8,000 words.
- Notes – 3,000 to 6,000 words.
- Book Reviews – 1,500 to 2,000 words (exclusive of footnotes)
Contribution Guidelines
- The manuscript must contain an abstract of not more than 200 words along with 5 keywords. In case the submitted manuscript does not contain an abstract, the manuscript will be rejected in the initial review.
- The manuscript must be in conformity with the OSCOLA: The Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities for citations and footnotes. The author(s) are required to mandatorily adhere to the same.
- The manuscript must not contain any mention of or reference to the author’s name, affiliation or credentials. Such information must be restricted to a separate cover page which must contain a brief biographical description of the author and include the authors’ name, affiliation, qualifications and contact details.
- The manuscript must be contained in a Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) document.

Important dates
Manuscripts received during December 12 – December 31 shall be considered for publication in the May issue and manuscripts received during January 1 – January 31 will be considered for publication in the September issue.
