About Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi
The Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST) began eight decades ago with just six students under its founder and sole teacher, Sri Sivananda Sharmaji. Established in 1940, RSST has since grown into a large educational institution, comprising 23 institutions offering courses from nursery to postgraduate levels. With over 2,500 staff members and around 25,000 students, RSST’s alumni hold senior positions in National, International, and Multinational Organizations.
RSST reaches all segments of society, including the privileged, underprivileged, able, and differently-abled, transcending gender and age barriers. It also excels in specialized fields such as women’s education, Gandhian thought, and the Sanskrit language.
What distinguishes RSST is its focus on promoting Indian culture and values by collecting, preserving, and exhibiting antique articles, implements, and artefacts. Today, the “RV” brand is synonymous with quality education and is widely recognized across Bengaluru, even having a road named after it.
