About Centre for Development of Intellectual Property and Research (CDIPR)

The Centre for Development of Intellectual Property and Research (CDIPR) is a premier institution established under the Indian Centre for Child and Human Rights (ICCHR) as India’s First Non-Governmental Research Organisation dedicated to Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs). Operating under the Naovina Development of Intellectual Property and Research Foundation as a registered Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), CDIPR is dedicated to promoting and protecting Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) within India, thereby fostering a conducive environment for innovation and creativity.

In today’s global landscape, where intellectual property serves as a cornerstone for economic growth, technological advancement and cultural development, CDIPR plays a pivotal role in driving forward-thinking policies, research and education. Themes

JDIPR accepts original, unpublished submissions on topics within the ambit of Intellectual Property and Technology Laws. Suggested themes include but are not limited to:

  • Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in Emerging Technologies
  • AI and Machine Learning: Legal and Ethical Dimensions
  • Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Patents
  • Data Protection and Privacy Laws in the Digital Age
  • Geographical Indications and Cultural Heritage
  • Cybersecurity and Intellectual Property
  • IP Challenges in the Metaverse and Virtual Reality
  • Traditional Knowledge and Benefit Sharing under IPR
  • Copyright in Digital Media and Creative Industries
  • Blockchain Technology and Smart Contracts in IP

Submission Guidelines

General Guidelines

  • Originality: Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Plagiarism will lead to immediate rejection.
  • Language: All submissions must be in English.
  • Authorship: Submissions may have up to two co-authors.

Formatting Guidelines

  • Font and Size: Times New Roman (14pt for heading, 13pt for subheadings, 12pt for the body, 10pt for footnotes).
  • Line Spacing: 1.5 for the main text, single for footnotes.
  • Margins: 1-inch margins on all sides.
  • Alignment: Justified text alignment.

Citation Style: Follow the Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA) for referencing. Ensure that all sources are appropriately cited. No endnotes allowed.

Abstract: Each submission must include an abstract of up to 300 words, summarising the core arguments and significance of the paper.

We welcome contributions in the following categories:

  • Research Articles: Comprehensive analyses or critical studies on IP-related topics (4,500–6,000 words).
  • Case Commentaries: Detailed examination of landmark cases or recent legal decisions (2,500–4,000 words).
  • Policy Papers: Policy/Legislative Analysis with practical recommendations on legislative reforms or policy initiatives or statutes (3,000–5,000 words).
  • Book Reviews: Critical evaluations of recent publications in the field (1,500–2,500 words).

Important Dates

  • Submission Deadline: 25th May, 2025
  • Notification of Acceptance: 30th May, 2025
