Move over Halloween Horror Nights, Santa is coming to town! Well… sort of.
Many of us experience Halloween drop as we head into mid November, revived briefly by holiday horror movies or local Krampus events. But that void inside still exists, and it is lonely and hollow. Only a house of gore and jump scares can truly satisfy it.

Fortunately, the ever growing popularity of Halloween haunted attractions, many have seen the opportunity to invest in dark Christmas themed haunts.
Now not all horror fans have to wait an entire year to experience a rush of fear. Satanic Santas, zombie elves, and evil snowmen are finding a home in the holiday season.
Merry Slash-mas!
After Halloween attractions catch their breath, many quickly turn around and do it all over again for Christmas!

Florida’s Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail in Plant City is one fantastically festive example! Once Halloween season is over, the haunt transforms into Sir Henry’s Haunted Christmas. However, unlike their month-long October event, Haunted Christmas is only five frightful nights in December. Sir Henry’s features 3 attractions, an escape game, 2 haunted trails, and a haunted hayride. Or should we say… slay-ride?

Another Florida attraction flipping the script on Christmas is Ominous Descent: Christmas Nightmares in Winter Haven. The event centers around a haunted trail and an escape game. Their website boasts;
“…immersive realism, building movie quality sets and creating our own characters that bring FEAR to life.”
Like Sir Henry’s, this is also a limited five night engagement in December.
