About the image: living in Death Valley for an extended period earlier this year had its advantages. I found this composition out on the dunes one evening, but it was LITTERED with footprints. I mean, it’s almost as if whoever walked on it was just having fun and didn’t care about the aesthetic properties of these sexy, sweeping curves! Anyway, about a week later, a windstorm came through. I was able to head to the exact spot I’d marked on Gaia to shoot it footprint-free, and with great wind and light to boot.
