Solved Examples on Decimal to Percent
We can also express a decimal as a per cent simply by multiplying it by 100 and writing % to the right of it.
For example:
0.45 = 0.45 × 100%
= (0.45 × 100)%
= 45%
Similarly, 2.37 = 2.37 × 100%
= (2.37 × 100)%
= 237%
and 1.7 = 1.7 × 100%
= (1.7 × 100)%
= 170%
