Does True Joy Seem Out of Reach?

Have you ever wondered why joy sometimes feels just out of reach?

We try so many things to feel better. We chase comfort. We chase busyness. We chase approval.

Real joy, deep joy, the joy that fills your whole soul, doesn’t come from any of those things. Real joy is found when we stay connected to Jesus, the true vine.

John 15 says: I am the vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation, intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing.

We don’t have to manufacture joy. We receive it. It grows when we stay close to Him.

So today, I want to gently encourage you to ask yourself: What vine am I connected to? Is it a vine that drains me, confuses me, or leaves me feeling empty?

Or is it the true vine, Jesus Christ, who fills me with life?

This isn’t about perfection. It’s simply about turning toward Him again. Joy grows in the small daily choices of abiding, choosing His voice over the world’s, and letting His love reshape how we think and how we live.

I would love to invite you to go deeper with me inside this full episode: Three Steps to Finding True Joy on The Alita Reynolds Show.

I’m wildly cheering you!

Alita
