
As luck would have it we have been able to acquire the estate of and (Eastern) Indian jeweler and now arguably own the largest collection of ancient bronze metal forming dies in the United States. In case you were wondering…hell yes we’re going to use them.
We have been practicing with a small cache of these dies for years trying to learn the techniques for all of the different types. We’re getting better, but still have a long way to go. This is the latest pair of earrings, which required six different dies to make the component parts which were then assembled in the final design.
