Milky Way Reflection

Milky Way Reflection

The Milky Way reflects in a cove on a calm night on the coast of Maine.

The two bright objects in a diagonal line left of center on the horizon are Jupiter (bigger and higher up to the right) and Saturn. The bright stars of Altair (upper left) and Antares (middle right) are prominent in the sky and reflection as well.

Nikon Z 6, FTZ lens adapter, Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 lens @ 14mm, f/2.8, 10 seconds, ISO 3200. Star stacked result of 7 exposures. I took 20 exposures but only 7 of them had good reflections in the water when the wind was calm enough. I stacked the exposures in Starry Landscape Stacker once for the sky as normal, then again but telling the program that the water was the sky so it would stack for the reflection. Then I blended the two stacked results in Photoshop and added creative edits for contrast and color.
