Path below security in HDR

"Does the walker choose the path or the path choose the walker?"
~Garth Nix

Why not another path shot! This is a picture from right in front of the Newton Observatory which is now the security building at Allegheny. I liked what was going on in this scene. Bright blue sky, big shadow, a lot of colors and a really cool old building!

I really liked the quote too because it raises the question of if we are controlled by fate or do we make our own destiny? Personally I think that every decision we make determines who we are and what we become and that everyday we have a blank slate on which to write our future. Since this is a shot of two paths, I thought it fit!

A bit more philosophical than normal, I know! If you’d like to weigh in, you are more than welcome!

New set! A collections of all the Paths I’ve Walked.

This is a 7 RAW exposure HDR that I processed in HDR Efex. Again, I started with the preset "End of the Road". I added a bit more Structure and compressed the tones more as well as lowered the saturation. I bumped up both the White abd Black levels to add a bit more contrast. The HDR Effect used here is called "Soft" and I had that set to 60. I kicked it over to CS5 where adjustments were made to the green grass and the blue sky. I added a level of color too for the red tree. Added a Curves adjustment layer as well as a shadow adjustments layer. Added a layer mask to get rid of a slight halo over the trees.

Thanks for stopping by my friends!

I don’t mind invitations, but please no big, shiny, flashing, glitter graphics, they will be deleted. Also, please contact me if you would like to use my pictures for any reason, as all rights are reserved. Thanks!
