www.troymarcyphotography.com I’m really happy with this image. It is an example of knowing the camera and making the image look how I want it too. I wanted to try to get some blur on the wings for artistic effect. It doesn’t always work as planned, but I’m pleased with this image. I lowered my shutter speed to 1/1250th of a second, which is typically a "no no" for birds in flight if I want to freeze the subject. But in this case, I wanted a little blur. It can cause the image to look out of focus but for this image, it worked perfectly. I was able to capture a sharp, motionless eagle head while still giving the sense of motion in the wings. It isn’t easy to do but I love the results when it works as planned. If you like this image, please follow my photography Facebook page – Troy Marcy Photography.
