We read with great interest the article titled from Wang et al1 that provides valuable insights into the complex relationship between dietary patterns, gut microbial features, and colorectal cancer (CRC) risk. In particular, the study’s development of the CRC microbial diet score (CMDS) is noteworthy. This study compellingly highlights diet-microbiome interaction in CRC development.
