Taken for the group MacroMondays
In researching the actual recipe for this, I find that a "Salty Dog" is actually supposed to be made with Gin instead of Vodka. In other words, it isn’t simply a "Greyhound" with a salted glass. I wonder why, in 30+ years of ordering these, I’ve never once gotten a gin cocktail?
1/3 Vodka
2/3 Grapefruit Juice (preferably fresh squoze)
Salt
Sticky substance to make salt stick to glass. Rose’s Lime juice works and also flavors the salt nicely.
Supposed to be shaken in a ice thingy and then strained into the glass. I like’s em with the ice, thank you.
