Ingredients (grams):
- 500g sugar
- 250ml water
- 50g glucose (or glucose syrup)
- 100g cornstarch
- 50g gelatin powder (optional for firmness)
- 50g powdered sugar (for coating)
- 100g nuts (peanuts, hazelnuts, pistachios, as desired)
- Food coloring (red for red portion, none for white)
- A dash of vanilla or rose water
Method:

In a pot, combine sugar, water, and glucose. Bring to a boil until the syrup thickens slightly.

Dissolve cornstarch in cold water and gradually add to the syrup while stirring continuously.

Add gelatin (if using) and stir until thick and glossy.

Divide mixture in half: leave one half white, add red coloring to the other half.

Line a tray with parchment paper and lightly grease. Pour the mixture and sprinkle nuts evenly.
