Huawei Maimang 40 launched with stylish camera design, two-way satellite calling
It’s official! China Telecom has now launched the all-new Huawei Maimang 40 smartphone. The device brings flagship-level features and tech-pack upgrades over the previous-gen models. And the most appealing feature is its stylish design.
Starting with design, Huawei Maimang 40 features a unique design this time. Unlike a circular or dual-ring camera module, the smartphone has a separate rectangular bar at the top of the device, housing a big camera lens and two small rings.
The device uses a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a thickness of 7.59m and weighs 182 grams. Maimang 40 qualified for the China Quality Center and Swiss SGS double five-star drop-resistance certificate.
It offers a 360-degree anti-drop design and supports wet hand touch. On the front side, the device has a pill-shaped cutout, housing a selfie camera sensor.

China Telecom has launched the Huawei Maimang 40 with a spliced back cover. It comes in three colors: White, Black, and the dual-tone Green + Black. The third variant has a dual-shade design on the back with camera in the black section.
Maimang 40 uses a single 50MP RYYB main camera (1/1.56-inch sensor) on the back. The company has increased the amount of light intake by 40% this time.
It has also enhanced the low-light camera performance. The handset packs a 6100mAh battery with 40W fast charging and gets 57% charged in just 30 minutes.

Coming to the features, Huawei Maimang 40 supports two-way satellite calls as well as satellite messages. Users can tap on the exclusive X button to initiate the satellite communication. It brings 50 minutes of calls + 50 text messages for a year.
Another feature is the company’s self-made Xing Xiaochen AI intelligent body. The virtual AI bot offers assistance for calls, office work, and daily life operations.

Huawei Maimang 40 smartphone is available in three memory + storage options. It is open for pre-sale and will go live on the sale stage on July 2.
