Huawei could soon launch a new smartphone with a built-in cooling fan. A new rumor says that the Chinese tech giant has some special technologies this time to feature with its devices. And one of these upgrades may launch later this year.
Weibo tipster @DigitalChatStation says that Huawei has many interesting devices this year. After Pura X, the Pura 80 series with a 1/1.3-inch large periscope camera is the next on the “2025’s innovative products” list.
Another one could be an 8-inch tablet that can release later this year. But something even more interesting could be a new Huawei smartphone with a built-in cooling fan.
The tipster says that Huawei has an active cooling fan handset. From the name, the technology will likely solve the heat dissipation problem for users.
Currently, ZTE Nubia Red Magic series smartphones are the ones featuring a built-in cooling fan. This integration helps the device to dissipate heat during intense gaming sessions.
A cooling fan is often associated with other cooling technologies in a device. For instance, liquid cooling systems or vapor chambers that manage heat effectively and lower the smartphone’s core temperature to avoid unwanted overheating issues.

The tipster mentioned “active” cooling fan, which means the new tech will reduce the heat attack dimensionally. It will enable the chip to run for a longer time without reducing frequency. Moreover, it will also limit the power consumption of the chip.
Perhaps we can expect a significant change in the Kirin 5G performance if Huawei uses a built-in cooling fan for its devices. If not Pura 80, we could find this solution in the Mate 80 series!
