Ping G440 K Driver (NEW Forgiving Model Reviewed)

The Ping G440 K driver has been launched as a fourth model in the series and the successor to the popular G430 Max 10K driver.

The G440 series of drivers already includes the G440 Max, G440 LST and G440 SFT models with the trio having been on the market since early 2025.

Now the K version has been added to the USGA Conforming List ahead of an official launch to provide another option for golfers who have the G440 in the bag.

Although no official details have been revealed, it is expected to be a replacement for the popular G430 Max 10K driver which was known for having an ultra-high moment of inertia (MOI) for maximum stability.

Ping G440 K Driver Specs & Features

The G440 K is a latecomer to the series of drivers but is expected to offer maximum stability and forgiveness to accompany the existing three models.

The Ping G430 Max 10K was also introduced late and as the most forgiving option in the previous generation of drivers, and the G440 K is set to replace it.

The G440 K aligns with Ping’s trend of producing drivers geared toward maximum forgiveness and precision, and is likely to be aimed at players who want stability and consistent ball flight conditions.

What we do know from the Conforming List is that it incorporates Dual CarbonFly technology, which contributes to weight reduction and enhances aerodynamics like the other models in the series.

The driver also features a forged face with Spinsistency technology aimed at maintaining consistent spin rates across the face.

For the first time on an ultra-high MOI Ping model, the G440 K driver includes a movable rear draw-fade bias adjustment weight which is similar to other G440 models.

As well as that sliding tungsten weight positioned at the back of the head for high MOI and stability, the clubhead also appears to have a more massive trailing edge likely to help increase MOI.

The G440 K driver is available in loft options of 7.5 degrees – something that wasn’t available in the G430 range, 9 degrees, 10.5 degrees and 12 degrees. It has 1.5 degrees of adjustability in each direction available.

Ping G440 K Driver Review: Is it any good?

Ping’s latest addition is expected to build on the forgiveness, distance and stability strengths of the G440 line and the G430 Max 10K driver.

We look forward to testing the driver when it is fully released, but the expectation is for maximum forgiveness and precision as well as a consistent ball flight in all conditions.

The G440 K will provide high MOI forgiveness – the most in the range – but the inclusion of a 7.5 degree model suggests that it will also be a go-to option for players seeking versatile shot-shaping options.

The proof will be in the testing and with how it compares to the G440, LST and SFT versions.
