Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship
Today’s students are tomorrow’s engineers. Amazon is taking action to expand opportunities for students working towards careers in computer science and related fields, so that they can build the future.
More than just a scholarship, the Amazon Future Engineer program awards students with up to $40,000 toward college expenses, paired with internship opportunities at Amazon.
Amazon Future Engineers are students just like you from all across the country—like Angela Magtoto (right), a member of UCLA’s Class of 2028. She says, “Becoming an Amazon Future Engineer has been one of the most transformational and enriching experiences. As a first-year student, I gained hands-on technical experience with cutting-edge technologies like AI and machine learning which are opportunities I never imagined would be accessible so early in my career. Beyond the technical skills, I found a tight-knit community of scholars who genuinely supported one another. My placement in New York allowed me to experience the energy and innovation of the tech industry firsthand and I am deeply grateful to Amazon for investing in my education and opening doors I didn’t know existed.”

Seattle Foundation Scholarship Programs
Seattle Foundation was established in 1946 by Dr. Richard Fuller as he sought to help Seattle through the post-war economic transition. Together with fourteen other civic leaders, he established an endowment to invest in initiatives that would improve quality of life in the city and beyond. From the $8,000 in grants given out in its first year, Seattle Foundation has grown and now awards more than $100 million annually.
The Foundation began awarding scholarships in 1988, and has partnered with Scholarship America to administer scholarships on behalf of the Foundation since 2018. Since 2024, students can apply to multiple Seattle Foundation scholarships through a single application, and are warmly invited to explore additional scholarship opportunities offered through Scholarship America.
Some of Seattle Foundation’s scholarship dollars are reserved for graduates of specific high schools or attendees of specific colleges in the Pacific Northwest; others are open more broadly and focused on specific fields of study or areas of interest. Visit https://scholarshipamerica.org/scholarship/seattlefoundation/ to explore all of the scholarships on offer.
Up to twenty-five students living in the Pacific Northwest will be awarded scholarships of up to $5,000 in 2026 through Seattle Foundation programs.
