There’s nothing more meaningful than receiving Homemade Christmas Gifts, and I love preparing some delicious gluten free treats for friends and family! If you need some inspiration, here are some of my favourite recipes for gluten free Christmas gift ideas…

Being gluten free doesn’t mean you can’t create some tasty Christmas foods for everyone to enjoy. And bonus points if nobody even realises they’re coeliac-safe too!
From gluten free truffles and fudge to buttery shortbread, Christmas cake, biscotti, cookies and more, there are lots of ideas for everyone to enjoy, and all completely gluten free.
Making Coeliac-Safe Christmas Treats
If you’ve found this page because you’re making some homemade Christmas gifts for someone with coeliac disease, you’ll need to be careful of cross-contamination too.
There are lots of tips on the Coeliac UK website, but as a guide you’ll need to ensure your gluten free recipes don’t come into contact with gluten. This means taking steps like:
- Washing your hands before handling gluten free food.
- Thoroughly wiping down work surfaces before preparing gluten free food.
- Not using ‘loose’ ingredients like wheat flour anywhere near gluten free food.
- Using clean bowls, utensils, pans, boards and baking trays.
- Always serving/packing gluten free food separately from gluten-containing food.
I’m sure the coeliac in your life will appreciate the effort you’ve gone to, to create some delicious treats they can enjoy at Christmas and feel ‘normal’ like everyone else!
