Android 16 will likely bring a new Supervision settings page to simplify the parental control features. Google is not only working to make things better for professionals but also for parents who are quite concerned about their kids’ social activities.
Mishaal Rahman, the Android expert, found a hidden settings page called Supervision in Android 16 beta 4, with certain features. The specific page aims to block explicit websites, texts, images, or other such content from your child’s device.
Supervision page seemingly integrates with the Google Family Link. As a result, it enables parents to turn on the device supervision and keep an eye on their child’s online activities, more specifically, what your child is watching on their phone.
Even though Google has a parental control suite – Family Link, the company is making the respective ecosystem simpler and more convenient for parents.
Family Link helps users create a manageable Google Account for their children, including filtered web content in Chrome and Google Search. You can easily access it via a dedicated Android app or Digital Wellbeing settings.

But with the Supervision page, these changes will become easier. It could appear on the main Settings screen below the Digital Wellbeing and Parental Controls section. Currently, the page has two main features:
- Use Device Supervision
- Web Content Filters
You need to enter a new PIN to enable device supervision. After that, you can change the settings for your child by effectively hiding inappropriate content. Other changes are unclear at the moment, though things will get clear with a stable release.
