When Doxa launched the SUB 250T GMT earlier this year in 2025, the Swiss brand debuted the collection in a full range of nine different dial colors, including a new vintage-themed gradient option that previously did not exist within its catalog. However, just one month after the initial announcement of the SUB 250T GMT, Doxa has teamed up with the Naples-based retailer Exquisite Timepieces to create two new limited-edition colorways for its latest GMT-equipped dive watch. Inspired by the colors of Florida’s Gulf Coast, the Doxa SUB 250T GMT Exquisite “Gulfshore” and “Afterglow” models are fitted with bright blue and pink dials, and each colorway will be produced as a limited edition of just 50 examples.

From a core design and functionality standpoint, the new Doxa SUB 250T GMT Exquisite “Gulfshore” and “Afterglow” watches are identical to the standard-production SUB 250T GMT models that debuted earlier this year, and they feature the same 316L stainless steel case that measures 40mm in diameter by 10.85mm thick, with lugs that are set 18mm apart and extend to create and overall lug-to-lug profile of 42.9mm. Just like their core-collection siblings from the SUB 250T GMT lineup, the new Exquisite Timepieces limited editions feature flat sapphire crystals above their dials, along with screw-down crowns and solid screw-down casebacks that help create a dive-capable 250 meters of water resistance.

With that in mind, although the unidirectional bezels fitted to the new “Gulfshore” and “Afterglow” colorways appear in the exact same style as the rest of the SUB 250T GMT series, their markings are finished in a historic Doxa color called “Coraline,” which has a pale red/orange appearance and dates back to the 26mm woman’s SUB 200 dive watch from the early 1970s. Additionally, the same shade of “Coraline” is used to finish Doxa’s fish emblem that appears on the winding crown, and rather than having the same caseback as the standard SUB 250T GMT models, the Exquisite Timepieces “Gulfshore” and “Afterglow” models feature caseback engravings that depict the Florida state outline with Doxa’s fish logo swimming offshore above the Dry Tortugas, which is a chain of islands near Key West that serves as a favorite fishing destination for the owners of Exquisite Timepieces.

The dials and hands fitted to the limited-edition Doxa SUB 250T GMT Exquisite “Gulfshore” and “Afterglow” watches offer the same design and layout as what can be observed on the standard-production models, although their colors and finishing are different from what is offered by their core collection siblings. The “Gulfshore” version has a cerulean blue dial that is inspired by the waters surrounding Florida’s Gulf Coast, and it is completed by a white-finished handset that has its oversized minute hand painted in the same shade of “Coraline” that punctuates the rest of the watch. Meanwhile, the “Afterglow” model has a bright pink dial that celebrates the sunset skies over Naples, Florida, where Exquisite Timepieces is headquartered, and it is paired with an entirely polished handset that provides the model with a slightly more refined overall appearance.

Pink seldom makes an appearance within Doxa’s catalog, with the only other instance being the “Ocean Dream” pink mother-of-pearl dial that is exclusively fitted to its SUB 200T Diamonds collection. However, blue is one of Doxa’s traditional colors, and it can be found throughout the vast majority of the brand’s modern lineup. That said, the limited-edition Exquisite Timepieces “Gulfshore” model offers a distinct appearance compared to the standard “Caribbean” blue version of the Doxa SUB 250T GMT. Along with appearing in a shade of blue that is noticeably lighter than the navy blue hue of its “Caribbean” sibling, the “Gulfshore” variant also features its 24-hour chapter ring rendered in blue and white with Coraline-colored accents, while the “Caribbean” version has a blue and orange split-color chapter ring that matches its bright orange minute hand and bezel markings.

The new limited-edition Doxa SUB 250T GMT Exquisite “Gulfshore” and “Afterglow” watches are powered by the exact same Swiss Sellita SW330-2 automatic movement that can be found inside their standard-catalog counterparts. Offering “caller” style GMT functionality with independent adjustment of both its date display and 24-hour hand, the 25-jewel Sellita SW330-2 operates at a frequency of 28,800vph (4 Hz) with a power reserve of 50 hours. Given that the Doxa SUB 250T GMT is first and foremost intended to be a dive watch, with its secondary timezone display simply intended to be an additional useful feature, a “caller” style GMT is an entirely appropriate choice, although some collectors will inevitably wish that the model offered the more travel-oriented “flier” style approach, where the local hour hand can be jumped forward or backward in one-hour increments.

Both “Gulfshore” and “Afterglow” versions of the Doxa SUB 250T GMT Exquisite are paired with the brand’s usual stainless steel beads-of-rice bracelet, which is identical to what can be found throughout the standard SUB 250T GMT collection. Crafted from solid machined components with single-sided screws securing its removable links, the bracelet is completed by Doxa’s usual style of folding clasp, which includes an integrated extension system that is accessed by pressing the two additional buttons located on the sides of the clasp’s outer structure. However, both of the Exquisite Timepieces models also include a complementary nylon NATO strap in either blue or pink to match the hue of each watch’s dial, and the duo of limited-edition models are delivered in a blue and gray travel case that houses both the watch and its extra strap.

Both “Gulfshore” (ref. 855.10.231.10-SE11) and “Afterglow” (ref. 855.10.061.10-SE11) versions of the Doxa  SUB 250T GMT Exquisite will be produced as limited editions of just 50 pieces each, and they will have an official retail price of $2,790 USD, which makes them slightly more expensive than their core-collection counterparts. While some of this premium is due to the inclusion of an additional strap, the majority of the fairly modest price increase is due to their unique small-batch colorways and bespoke caseback engravings. The pink “Afterglow” model will inherently be a bit of a divisive aesthetic, but the blue “Gulfshore” model represents a bright and lighthearted expression of a blue Doxa diver, and I can only imagine that the 50 examples will be quickly claimed by collectors.
