Honor is ready to disappoint Samsung fans this time as its foldable’s large battery upgrade can easily beat the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7. The OEM today confirmed that Magic V5 will pack the biggest battery boost for a foldable phone to date!
Many leaks and rumors claimed that the Honor Magic V5 will feature the biggest battery with a 6100mAh capacity. Now the company broke its silence on this topic.
Today, Honor shared a new teaser revealing its Magic V5 foldable’s largest battery. The flagship model will pack a cutting-edge 6100mAh Qinghai Lake blade battery.
According to the official details, the company crafted this battery using a high-silicon anode with 25% silicon material. Besides, it is the first battery up for mass production.
Something even more interesting is that Honor Magic V5 will be using the biggest battery in foldable phones to date. Many folding devices with top-notch qualities are available on the market, but Honor will be the first with the largest battery foldable.

That might be a disappointment for Samsung lovers waiting for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, as it is said to stick to the same 4400mAh. At most, it may bring a 5000mAh cell.
OPPO Find N5 has a 5600mAh battery. The upcoming Vivo X Fold 5 was about to take the crown of “largest battery foldable” with a 6000mAh pack. Although Honor is just one step ahead in this race.
Honor further claims that its foldable’s battery integrates an AI Dujiangyan power management system that delivers the longest battery life to the device.
Magic V5’s real-life performance will confirm these claims in the coming days. But for now, the company will be serving as the world’s thinnest and lightest foldable brand with the largest battery capacity ever!
