Apple foldable iPad delays, following some manufacturing challenges. The company is finally ready to enter the folding phone pool. But it looks like that won’t be an easy task, as the tech giant has started facing problems in between.
Early rumors revealed that Apple is working on two types of folding phones: small and large. The former will belong to the iPhone category, while the latter will be notebook-sized foldable devices, probably a foldable iPad.
The company even started producing these devices. And things are going well with the foldable iPhone. But Apple delays the foldable iPad due to certain difficulties.
DigiTimes reported that Apple has been exploring a foldable iPad for a long while. However, the company decided to halt the production of larger folding devices after encountering manufacturing problems. The other two major concerns are:
- Increased production cost
- Modern consumer demand for larger foldable models.
Simply put, Apple may pause the foldable iPad development for the time being, at least. But this could be a temporary decision and may change with a good strategy.
