On June 21, Huawei hosted the second day of HDC 2025 and continued to elaborate on HarmonyOS 6.0 software traits. During the event, the firm opened the HMOS Code Workshop on the App Store with hundreds of sample codes.
These codes are suitable for several devices like foldable phones, regular handsets, tablets, smart wearables, and more. But the highlight was a new technology called “cross-domain fusion compilation optimization”.
From the name, the technology is compiled with XLO cross-domain. As a result, developers can easily switch or modify their application with zero code. This further improves the app’s running performance and makes it more stable.

And the best part is, HarmonyOS 6.0 cross-domain compilation launches apps in seconds. It detects users’ actions and immediately opens the app as they tap on it.
While HarmonyOS 5.0 focused on making the application open fast and smoothly, the new version is one step ahead. It not only launches the app faster than ever but also ensures that the application will not be stuck with lag or freezing.
Huawei has also upgraded its Ark Engine with unified rendering, smart audio 2.0, and red maple color for an improved visual and audio experience of the handset.
