The CEO of Huawei Device Business Unit, He Gang, revealed that the new HarmonyOS 6.0 software version carries amazing smart car features. It brings convenience to consumers’ fingertips. One can perform many tasks without leaving their car!

Smart Parking: HarmonyOS 6.0 has a new smart parking feature that will actively reveal the parking information on your smartphone. The feature works efficiently with smart cars equipped with HarmonyOS 6.0 driving solutions.
Contactless Payments: The new software version enables the car to auto-detect the QR code when in the parking lot and make the payment. Users don’t have to get out of their car or leave their car to scan the code when paying for parking.
Refuel without leaving the car: Huawei teamed up with the China National Petroleum Corporation. Together, the parties have created such a service that automatically learns the gas gun number and pays via facial recognition method.
As soon as the vehicle reaches the exit lane, the software system wakes up the facial recognition system. Thus, the car’s camera will complete identity verification to complete the fee settlement.
Interestingly, this entire process doesn’t require any manual help. Users will get a seamless and more convenient driving experience with these three capabilities.
During the HDC 2025 event, Huawei revealed that HarmonyOS 6 will be a major upgrade for many products, including smartphones, tablets, earbuds, wearables, PCs, smart home appliances, and self-driving tech.
