Huawei has officially scheduled the Smart Door Lock 2 featuring AI palm recognition pre-sale for tomorrow. The new-gen door lock models have already appeared in the AI Life app. Now, the company has confirmed its existence.
The tech giant today shared a new post on its Weibo page, announcing the Huawei Smart Door Lock 2 series with AI palm recognition pre-sale for tomorrow.
Looking into the teaser, the new smart door lock looks quite similar to the previous-gen models. Although it now holds some new and more useful features. The highlight of this new door lock is AI palm vein recognition.

AI palm vein recognition can refer to a biometric identification setup in the door lock. It may read the unique vein patterns in your skin and store them to unlock the door. It offers a secure and contactless authentication and tops fingerprint or facial verification in terms of accuracy and security.
Smart Door Lock 2 will also feature an ultra-clear smart big cat’s eye. It is a built-in video camera that showcases the exterior of the door and lets you see who is standing at your doorstep. The device will also get HarmonyOS 5.0 blessings.
Early input revealed that Smart Door Lock 2 series will have four models: Standard, Pro, Ultra, and Enjoy Edition. All these variants will likely have a push-pull design.
