Apple is finally planning to join the foldable smartphone race, and its first folding device could be inspired by the Huawei Pura X design. A leaked render suggests that the iPhone maker’s foldable can be identical to the newly designed Pura X.
DigitalChatStation has shared a render of the first Apple foldable, showing its front design. The tipster also revealed the display details of the new folding device.
Looking into the rendering, the Apple foldable iPhone looks more like the Huawei Pura X. Even though the image didn’t show the back layout, the front one resembles the recently launched Pura folding smartphone.
The leak says that the Apple foldable may feature a 7.58-inch screen with a resolution of 2713 x 1920 pixels. It will bring a 14.1:10 screen aspect ratio.
Besides, the Apple foldable phone will likely use an amorphous metal glass hinge this time, claiming an “invisible crease.” The American tech giant may adopt titanium alloy to craft its foldable body and integrate a 48MP dual camera sensor.

Following the leak, many netizens said that the device seems to be a replica of the Pura X. Huawei’s new foldable has a 6.3-inch screen and a 16:10 aspect ratio, which is quite close to the allegedly leaked Apple folding device.

As promised, Huawei surprised consumers with an extraordinary device this year – Pura X. The highlight of this phone is its form factor, which is a fusion of a foldable + tablet. It brings a wider screen for easy reading and viewing experience.
While the back design of the Apple foldable is a mystery at present, it looks like the iPhone maker will copy the Huawei Pura X appearance to some extent.
Note: This is an unofficial render, and Apple could change its design strategy for its first-ever foldable phone. Hence, take this input with a grain of salt.
