First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, and First Impression
My first impression of the Tripura State Forensic Science Laboratory was highly positive and inspiring. The facility appeared well-organized, secure, and equipped with specialized sections dedicated to different branches of forensic science. The professional environment immediately reflected discipline, precision, and a strong sense of responsibility.
The staff members were approachable and carried themselves with confidence, which created a welcoming atmosphere for interns like me. I was impressed by the balance between advanced scientific instruments and the seriousness with which casework was handled. Overall, the laboratory gave me a sense of professionalism, commitment, and a deep respect for justice.
Main Tasks
My main task during the internship at the Tripura State Forensic Science Laboratory was to observe and assist in forensic procedures, including documentation, evidence handling, and report preparation. I gained practical exposure to case analysis, laboratory protocols, and the application of forensic techniques in criminal investigations.
Work Environment
The work environment at the Tripura State Forensic Science Laboratory was professional, disciplined, and highly focused on accuracy. Every section of the laboratory maintained a structured routine, ensuring that tasks were carried out with precision and confidentiality. The staff members were cooperative, approachable, and willing to guide interns through practical aspects of forensic work.

Good Things about the Internship
The best part of my internship at the Tripura State Forensic Science Laboratory was the opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to real forensic procedures. Learning directly from experts, observing evidence analysis, and understanding the practical application of forensic science in criminal investigations made the experience highly valuable and enriching.
Bad Things about the Internship
The only drawback of the internship was limited practical involvement in sensitive casework due to confidentiality concerns. Most tasks were observational, which slightly restricted deeper hands-on learning opportunities.

Details about the Accommodation, Commuting to the Office
During my internship at the Tripura State Forensic Science Laboratory, accommodation arrangements were simple yet comfortable, providing a suitable space for study and rest. The location was convenient, with easy access to essential facilities nearby. Commuting to the office was manageable and mostly hassle-free, as the laboratory was situated within a reasonable distance.
Public transport and local conveyance options were readily available, ensuring punctuality every day. The office infrastructure was well-maintained, organized, and equipped with necessary resources to support professional work. Overall, both accommodation and commuting facilities were satisfactory, allowing me to focus on learning and gaining practical experience.
Anything else you want to share?
Apart from academic learning, I enjoyed bonding with fellow interns during breaks, which created a friendly atmosphere. The key lesson I learned was the importance of discipline, confidentiality, and teamwork in forensic science, values that will guide me in my future professional journey.
