Huawei has unveiled its new tablet model, the MatePad Edge, designed to compete directly with Apple’s iPad Pro and Microsoft’s Surface Pro series. The device features a powerful Kirin X90 processor, a sleek design, and an impressive 14-inch OLED screen.
The MatePad Edge is equipped with a dual-position kickstand and a special keyboard accessory that offers a similar user experience to Apple’s Magic Keyboard, making it suitable for both tablet and laptop use. The MatePad Edge also includes a high-resolution AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 1000 nits of brightness for professional use and multimedia experiences. The tablet supports fast charging up to 140W, and the battery capacity is rated at 12,900mAh.
Camera features include a main sensor with 50 megapixels and a front-facing camera with 32 megapixels, enhancing its content creation capabilities. The device comes in two color options: Space Grey and Silver. Pricing starts from 5,999 yuan (approximately $847) for the base model and goes up to 12,999 yuan (around $1,834) for the top configuration with 32GB RAM and 2TB storage.
