Huawei, China Telecom unveils world’s first smart computing Ascend super node

Huawei is making huge leaps in the AI computing segment and in the latest edition, the company has launched the world’s first commercial Ascend super node, jointly developed with China Telecom. It will power up computing efficiency.

China Telecom and Huawei officially unveiled the commercial management Ascend computing super node. The launch took place in Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, and Shaoguan, at the Greater Bay Area.

Over 200 people witnessed the official unveiling of the world’s first smart commercial computing super node, developed by Huawei and China Telecom.

Super node is a component within a network or graph structure that has significant importance. It can help in framing a large number of connections or perform special functions like routing and proxying.

The exact usage of the new super node is currently unknown. Though we may have the details in the coming days. By that time, let’s take a look at the new CloudMatrix 384 super node.

CloudMatrix 384 recently appeared in the spotlight, claiming that it can beat Nvidia in computing power. It is capable of defeating Nvidia’s NVL72 AI technology that enables multiple GPUs interact and transmit data more efficiently.

Although CloudMatrix has two times the throughput of Nvidia’s NVL72. Even though it requires 2.3x more power than its rival, it can deliver an efficient performance. You can check more details about the AI tech HERE.
