Two more Huawei tablets joined HarmonyOS 6 beta program

Huawei continues to expand the HarmonyOS 6 beta program to more devices, and in the latest edition, the company is adding two more tablets to the test pool.

HarmonyOS 6 brings major efficiency gains for smart devices, and smartphones have seen improved performance after this upgrade. However, tablets are also getting the same range of features as small-screen devices. In this case, the MatePad series is gaining a bunch of new features, including optimizations for the home screen, app operations, as well as personalizations.

Unlike newly released devices, Huawei is pushing this HarmonyOS 6 beta to these two tablets. It means the update will be available to a limited models. Below you can check the updated information on eligible devices.

Once registered, users will be notified of the beta build download and start testing the latest HarmonyOS 6 features. A stable version of the update will be released after the beta program is closed.

• Using the “A Day of Exquisite Fuzzy Balls” theme, after clicking the Xiaoyi star ring icon on the lock screen interface, you can trigger fun and interesting interactive animations through voice or input commands (Theme application needs to be upgraded to version 1.0.23 or above, open the theme application > search for the corresponding theme).

Little Chubby Hands Theme

• On the lock screen interface, click the “GAME” button to enter the “Rock-Paper-Scissors” game screen. You can win random outfit sets for the little chubby hands by playing rock-paper-scissors against the AI ​​(Theme application needs to be upgraded to version 1.0.23 or above, open the theme application > search for “Little Chubby Hands Theme”).

Efficient Interaction

• You can use common gestures such as tapping, pressing, sliding, dragging, knocking, circling, grabbing, touching, and pinching to enjoy a more diverse, efficient, and convenient interactive experience.

Remote Guardian

• You can finely control the device usage time and award reward points to your children to redeem for device usage time, protecting children’s healthy use of devices (the child’s device also needs to support this function).

Gallery

• AI one-click video creation allows you to select multiple pictures to intelligently match camera movements and music to generate videos. It supports generating dynamic effects for suitable static photos, bringing photos to life as vivid memories.

Memo

• Click the AI ​​writing assistant icon in the memo toolbar to activate the AI ​​writing assistant. You can use various templates and also use commands for copywriting, editing, and expanding text.

Voice Recorder

1. Added real-time transcription function, supporting simultaneous transcription of recordings into text, automatically distinguishing between multiple speakers.
2. Added an intelligent summary function. After recording, a summary will be generated based on the transcribed text, extracting key information and to-do items.
