WhatsApp has been testing many innovative features for status updates, and now the company has officially announced these enhancements. After a long wait, the application is bringing Instagram-like amazing capabilities for its users.
Just like Facebook and Instagram, WhatsApp has a “Status” feature that lets you share text, photos, videos, and GIFs that disappear after 24 hours. But unlike other Meta apps, the chat application has limited features for status updates.
Surprisingly, WhatsApp has made some creative features official for the status. The company is introducing four dynamic tools to make the status more interactive!
Users can now make a collage of their six photos directly on the WhatsApp status, add a song to describe their emotions, attach stickers, or an “Add yours” template to interact with their contacts other than through chat or calls.
These are the new WhatsApp Status Updates Features:
- Layout: You can make a collage of six pictures with editing tools and lay them out accordingly.
- More with Music: Add a song to your photo or video. You can even use a music sticker to share the song with the best vibe.
- Photo Stickers: Simply turn a photo into a sticker and add it to your status. You can edit them and make them of right size and shape.
- Add Yours: Choose a picture and use the “Add Yours” sticker to invite friends to the conversation. When they respond to your prompt, they can share it on their status and hear what their community has to say as well.
WhatsApp will roll out these features to Android and iOS users in the coming months. Hence, keep the app up-to-date via the Google Play or App Store.
