The biggest shift in employee rights in years is about to land. Do you have a plan?

Hi,

The Employment Rights Bill is now in its final stages and is expected to come into force early next year. For many organisations, the biggest risk is not the legislation itself, but the operational impact it will have from day one. Clearer requirements. Less room for informal arrangements. No long lead-in time to adjust internal practices.

Day one unfair dismissal protection alone will require a re-think of how probation, onboarding, feedback, and early conversations are handled. And with more predictable working patterns and new redundancy protections linked to family leave, teams will need stronger confidence and consistency across their approach to conflict, communication, and decision making.

To help leaders and HR professionals prepare, ADR Mediation is hosting a free webinar on Friday 12 December at 10am. The session will focus on what these changes mean in practice and how to build conflict resolution skills that support fair, robust and well communicated decision making.

You will hear from:

  • Hannah Morrison, Brabners Solicitors
  • Kim Logan, Managing Director, ADR Mediation & Training CIC
  • Claire Brockbank, HR Specialist, CUBE HR
  • Emma Goddard and Marie Coombes, Conflict Resolution Specialists & Associates at ADR Mediation & Training CIC

The panel will break down the implications of the Act, highlight key areas of organisational risk, and share practical steps that leaders can start taking now to embed confident, consistent approaches. If you would like to join, register here:
