- Anthony Scherer was a friend and alumnus of the University of Chicago who passed away this summer.
- Tony was a resident of the Flint House and was known for his incredible work ethic and involvement. He put time and effort into his studies and was respected by his peers, housemates, and friends. Tony was an amazing individual who was always willing to help his family and friends and do whatever he could to make the world a better place.
- This scholarship aims to honor the memory of Tony Scherer by supporting students at his alma mater as they pursue their studies.
- Any undergraduate student at the University of Chicago who has financial need and is involved in at least one extracurricular activity at school may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they do well in school and are well-regarded by peers. However, applicants who are multi-year residents of Flint House are preferred.
