Back in September, Gurman suggested that the upcoming Apple Watch SE might feature a plastic casing, similar to the colorful iPhone 5c from a decade ago. He noted that Apple had encountered some “cost and quality challenges” while transitioning from aluminum to plastic, but the project was reportedly still moving forward. However, he did not reference plastic in his latest update.

Notably, Apple Watch SE 2 is currently selling at Rs 24,900 on the Apple website in India.
For the higher-end Apple Watches, minimal design changes are expected for the Series 11 and Ultra 3, which will maintain a similar look to their predecessors. However, they are set to introduce new features, such as satellite connectivity and 5G RedCap in the Ultra 3, offering improved connectivity.

Additionally, both models are expected to include blood pressure detection, alerting users if they may be at risk for hypertension, though without providing specific readings. This feature was originally delayed due to the thinner design of the Series 10 but is likely to launch this year.
Gurman also revealed that Apple is developing an AI-powered coaching service and a revamped health app, although the release dates are unclear. These innovations could align with the launch of new AirPods featuring heart rate monitoring.
