The Chicago Cubs defeated the Detroit Tigers 5-1 on Sunday, 16 May. The Cubs were bolstered by a great pitching performance by Kyle Hendricks (8.0 IP, 1 ER, 1 BB, 8K) and Ian Happ’s bat (2B HR).
The Cubs took two of three games from the Tigers to improve to 19-20 on the year, Detroit fell to 14-26 and a tie for last place with the Minnesota Twins.
