Seen arriving at Alton Towers is NSU 136, a Scania L94IB/Irizar Intercentury C70F coach in the fleet of Llew Jones, Llanrwst, Clwyd. It was new to Mayne, Warrington, Cheshire as T223 JND in May 1999 and was re-registered OED 201 in December 2002, reverting to its original mark in September 2011. It passed to Jones in December 2012 and was given its current mark in May 2014. It was nice to see Shakin’ Stevens looking so well and happily giving his prediction for the upcoming FA Cup Semi-Final between Arsenal and Reading, to a group of enthusiasts. But on a day when the Coach Industry was “Celebrating the Best”, one would hope that this Shakin’ Stevens clone isn’t actually employed by the Welsh operator.
