Digging through the old shots and found another Las Cruces lightning shot.
When we first moved to New Mexico we rented a house for a few months while ours was being built. The rental was on a hill that overlooked the city, very pretty view at night.
We had some pretty good storms that rolled through in the summer and this was from one of them. I was still pretty new to the whole photography thing so if ever there was a lucky shot this could certainly qualify!
The weather folks are saying the monsoon pattern may change for this weekend so maybe I’ll get a chance to get something a little more recent!
Pretty sure this was a 30 second shot in TIMER or maybe FIREWORKS mode.
