Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA (adjacent to Washington DC) – This near 180 degree view of the JFK Grave-site and Arlington House high atop the hill (and with the US Flag at half mast) is without question my most treasured memory from our recent visit to the nation’s capital. The history and importance of this cemetery may be somewhat difficult to grasp without spending considerable time reading about its location and those buried within, but it is well worth the time it takes to do so. This was the first and most valuable stop on our visit to Washington, DC this past month, and I certainly would not plan to visit the area again without making a return trip to the Arlington National Cemetery …
