Special:
– Only 17 survivors known,
– Impéria (founded in 1906) assembled Adlers, Standard Vanguards, Alfa Romeo’s and Triumphs under license since 1948.
– This fixed Coupé had a special plexi sunroof that could be tilted open. It’s the predecessor of a targa and panoramic roof.
– This car is quite noisy and it is quickly very hot, so opening the sunroof was no real luxury.
– The "Francorchamps" was intended as a deluxe version of the TR2 with real doors (with turn windows). Optionally available was a Laycock De-Normanville overdrive gearbox, spook wire wheels, radio, 2 speed wiper and a special wooden steering wheel.
– The name refers to nearby circuit of Francorchamps and emphasizes it’s sporty character.
– Due to export restrictions the TR2 Coupé was (almost) only sold in Belgium. 1 or 2 have been sold in the Netherlands.
