Honor Magic 6/5 series gets MagicOS 9.0.0.169 camera improvements update
Honor Magic 6 and 5 series are receiving a new MagicOS 9.0 update with camera improvements. The company has refined the camera performance, making it more seamless for device users. Alongside, it has optimized apps and system security.
Magic 7 series is the first to grab the latest MagicOS 9.0.0.169 update with a set of new features and optimizations. Now, the company is bringing the same firmware to more devices with some extra improvements for the camera segment.
According to the changelog, the MagicOS 9.0.0.169 update for the Honor Magic 6 and 5 series is improving the camera experience. Users may notice certain adjustments in the optical features after installing the latest firmware.
The tech giant has added a new WLAN password input/paste feature and support for the Android Auto feature to enhance car networking. Personal hotspots now support screenshots. Users will find optimized vibration feedback for apps.
Speaking of the lock screen, Honor has enhanced the double-tap screen-off feature. Magic 6 and 5 phone holders can now quickly turn off the screen by double-tapping on the blank area on the lock screen. You can directly turn on the flashlight from the lock screen.
Further points in the changelog include support for Ultra HDR format in the display, the Hide apps feature, and blocking calls from virtual operators. It has also integrated the April 2025 security patch to enhance system security.
